Description

The Environmental and Building Unit works with regulatory activities in the areas of environmental and health protection, food, alcohol and tobacco, and building permits.

Responsibilities

As an environmental and health protection inspector, you will work with supervision and processing of environmentally hazardous activities, health protection, contaminated land, individual sewage systems, agriculture, and more. You will primarily work with supervision according to the Environmental Code. A large part of your work as an environmental and health protection inspector involves contacts with businesses, citizens, politicians, and other authorities.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is educated as an environmental and health protection inspector at the university level or has other education and experience that we consider equivalent. The work involves a large degree of independent work but with supportive colleagues within the workgroup. You need to be able to independently structure your work, collaborate with others, and take your own initiatives. Practical experience in processing and supervision in the field is highly valued, as are good knowledge of the relevant legislation. You should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing and be accustomed to working digitally. We manage our cases in the case management program ECOS 2. You are expected to independently register, process, assess, and make decisions in the cases you receive within your assignment. We will place great importance on personal suitability and collaboration ability in relation to Sunne municipality's values: respect, development, and professionalism. Conditions

A valid B driver's license is required. Fixed-term employment for about 1 year. We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Please state your salary expectations in your application.
